Kate Waller Barrett Chapter, located in Alexandria, Virginia, is a dynamic chapter that promotes the ideals of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) by serving the Alexandria, VA, community. Volunteer services include reading programs at Washington Mill Elementary School, ceremonial services at the tomb of George Washington on Veteran's Day, presentation of American flags at Naturalization Court to new citizens, marking historic sites, working on genealogical records, and the ongoing historic preservation of Gadsby's Tavern. Members contribute to the national organization by serving as docents at the DAR Museum, serving as chairmen of national committees, and contributing time and money to the preservation of genealogical records. The Kate Waller Barrett Chapter is proud to have served in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution since February 21st, 1925.
